What to Expect

When you book a tour with Voltage Cycles, you can expect a ride full of fun and adventure! We equip you with a top-of-the-line Surron™ electric bike, and provide you with a helmet & protective gear. We guide you through our well-groomed trails for an amazing day of adventure and beautiful scenery. Electric dirt bikes are the perfect fit for experienced riders and riders just getting started with off road riding.

First Time Riders

Electric bikes are a great option for adults that don’t have any previous experience on a dirt bike. They are similar to a fully automatic dirtbike, but without a clutch or gears. This allows first-time riders to jump on a dirtbike and minimize the skill gap to becoming an independent rider. It’s like an automatic dirtbike for grownups but with only throttle and brake control skills needed. Enjoy the off road experience with more ease and less complications.

Pricing & Availability

Our e-bike rentals & tours run seasonally from May 1st to November 1st. Our tours are currently operating by prearranged appointments. Contact us for riding availability. Group bookings (5+ riders) are welcome by appointment. Please contact us for group availability.

A 2-hour ride is $175 per person. This cost includes the bike rental, a 2-hour trail tour, light instruction, and all your safety gear (helmet, chest protector, gloves, knee & elbow pads). A $10 per rider discount is applied for groups of 5+ riders.

Optional insurance can be purchased for $15 per person.

We provide you with everything you need for a great time, so you can just show up and enjoy the ride!

Requirements & Safety

For safety reasons, all riders must be a minimum age of 16 years old. All riders must feel comfortable & confident riding a bike without training wheels. For riders who do not have their own equipment, we will provide a helmet, gloves, chest protector, and knee & elbow pads. A driver’s license is not required.

  • We are located one hour east of Toronto, just 25 minutes south of Peterborough. Customers will be met by a Voltage Cycles staff at a carpool located at Porter Road and the 115 Highway at the time agreed upon in the booking confirmation package. Our facility is located nearby.

  • We ride rain or shine! Many of our staff travel a fair distance to be here and are booked in advance based on customer numbers. Please be respectful and show up for your scheduled rides.

    For all other changes please note:

    There will be a $50.00 administrative fee for changes made less than seven days and up to 48 hours prior to your booking.

    There will be no changes within 48 hours of your booking.

    Cancelations or refund requests with more than 48 hours notice of your booking will be refunded 80% of the booking amount.

    Cancelations or refund requests with less than 48 hours notice from your booking will be refunded 60% of the booking amount.

  • No, you do not need a formal license to ride an electric dirt bike.

  • Yes, we have two cabins available for rent onsite. Check out our cabin rental page for more information.

  • We are in a remote location, so food is not available onsite. Please pack a lunch, snacks & water.

  • No – we do not offer bike rentals without a guide or instructor. Insurance regulations forbid it.

  • Yes, we recommend bringing a rain jacket and a spare change of clothes even in the dry summer weather.

  • Our business is licensed & insured. We offer customers an optional $15 per rider insurance to protect against any damage to your rental equipment.
